The Women’s Activity – Qatar Branch – of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (Young Women’s Committee) organized on the evening of Thursday, April 9, 2026, a distinguished faith-based seminar titled: “Self-Engineering After Ramadan (God-Centered, Not Season-Based): Turning Divine Blessings Out of Trials”, held at the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ansari Complex in Doha.

The seminar witnessed remarkable attendance, bringing together a select group of academics, female preachers, and mothers interested in educational and faith-based affairs, along with their daughters of various ages.

Strong Participation and Extended Faith Messages

The session was opened and moderated by Dr. Iman Sufyan, Head of the Young Women’s Committee of the Women’s Activity in the Qatar Branch, followed by a welcoming address from Dr. Hind Al-Hammadi, Head of the Women’s Activity. She emphasized the importance of sustaining the spiritual impact of Ramadan and transforming acts of worship into a conscious, balanced way of life that strengthens both spiritual and educational human development.

Hearts After Ramadan: Review and Righteousness

The seminar featured three in-depth academic lectures that received wide engagement and positive feedback from attendees.

Dr. Mona Sobhi delivered a lecture titled “How Do We Examine Our Hearts After Ramadan?”, in which she discussed mechanisms of self-review and moral and spiritual evaluation after seasons of worship. She emphasized the central role of the heart in shaping faith-based behavior, its influence on actions, and the importance of self-discipline and continued worship.

From Trial to Blessing: Psychological Resilience

Pharmacist Dr. Noaa Abdulmohsen presented a lecture titled “How Do We Turn Trials into Blessings? – Psychological Resilience.” She focused on resilience from a faith-based perspective, explaining that human strength is rooted in firm belief in God, good expectation of Him, reliance upon Him, and acceptance of His decree, all of which enhance steadfastness in facing challenges.

Steadfastness After Ramadan

The event concluded with a lecture by Dr. Zainab Talha, a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, titled “Steadfastness After Ramadan.” She presented a comprehensive educational and spiritual framework for maintaining the gains of the holy month, emphasizing continuous but flexible worship practices, avoiding sudden disengagement, and introducing practical strategies that help sustain consistency.

Qur’anic Recognition and Wide Appreciation

The event also included the honoring of winners of the Ramadan competition for memorizing Surahs An-Nur, Luqman, and Al-Hujurat, in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere filled with joy and appreciation. This reflected the organizers’ commitment to supporting Qur’anic memorization and spiritual development initiatives.

Participants expressed their admiration for the high academic quality of the lectures and the impactful presentations of the speakers, affirming that the seminar achieved its objectives of reviving hearts, increasing awareness, and reinforcing faith-centered values beyond Ramadan.

This event comes as part of the Women’s Activity’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality educational and spiritual programs that combine purification of the soul with intellectual development, contributing to human development and strengthening faith and educational awareness within society.
