The Union Galvanizes the Islamic Ummah to Champion the Palestinian Cause; Decrys the Desecration of the Holy Quran as a Heinous Assault on Islamic Sanctities.
In a fervent appeal, the Union exhorts the Islamic Ummah to fortify its defense of our Palestinian brethren by employing all legitimate avenues to counter the oppressive regime of the occupying government, its institutionalized racism, and the assailant settlers who have wantonly violated our sacred values.
This defense is an imperative religious duty and a pragmatic exigency.
The Union articulates its vehement condemnation and unyielding denouncement of the abhorrent incursion by extremist settlers, accompanied by dogs, into one of the mosques in the village of Aqraba, situated to the south of Nablus. The egregious act of tearing up the Holy Quran during this intrusion is denounced by the Union as a heinous violation and a flagrant assault on Islamic sanctities, which deeply affronts the sentiments of the global Muslim community.
Statement Text:
The advocacy for the Palestinian cause, the safeguarding of the Palestinian populace at large, and the custodianship of the Al-Aqsa Mosque stand as an indispensable religious duty and pragmatic necessity incumbent upon all Muslims, spanning nations, communities, and institutions. A plethora of texts from the Quran and Sunnah resonate with this truth, and apathy or inaction in this regard is tantamount to sinfulness.
In light of these considerations, the Union adamantly declares:
First: An urgent clarion call to all Muslims for swift, relentless, and unyielding support for occupied Palestine, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its denizens through an array of resourceful means. This support must be multifaceted, enveloping financial, political, media, academic contributions and beyond.
Second: A resolute and unequivocal repudiation of the depraved actions perpetrated by extremist settlers, who, with the tacit support of the occupying government, committed the sacrilege of tearing the Holy Quran, incessantly violated the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, engaged in acts of carnage, razed homes, torched vehicles, and devastated the agrarian lifeblood of the community, all under the indifferent gaze of the global community.
Third: The Union reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding the inalienable rights of Muslims and the sanctity of Islamic tenets. It emphasizes its resolute dedication to the protection of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a bedrock of Islamic faith, worship, and cultural heritage. It implores the Islamic world, the international community, and human rights organizations for immediate, concerted, and substantive interventions to shield our sacred edifices from the abhorrent violations and provocations perpetrated by the occupiers.
Fourth: An impassioned appeal to the Islamic Ummah, particularly the ruling class, citizenry, and religious scholars, to marshal their resources and resolve to uphold the honor of the Holy Quran, safeguard the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and stand in solidarity with the indomitable Palestinian people, who have weathered decades of subjugation and tyranny at the hands of the usurping occupiers.
In the words of the Almighty: "And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might." (Quran, Surah Al-Hajj: 40).
