The Union condemns the policy of repression, oppression, hatred, and targeting of Muslims, as well as the violation of the rights of the Muslim minority in India.

The International Union of Muslim Scholars vehemently condemns the policy of severe oppression, hatred, and the targeting of peaceful Muslim protesters, as well as the gross violation of freedoms and the enactment of racist laws by the Indian government against the Muslim minority.

The Muslim ummah appeals to global leaders, influential individuals, and nations, including the United Nations and human rights organizations, to protect the Muslim minority in India, who face the imminent threats of expulsion and genocide. It urges them to take decisive action by imposing sanctions on the perpetrators responsible for these heinous human rights abuses.

The Union has been deeply saddened and outraged by the horrifying atrocities witnessed in the city of Junagadh, Gujarat, in northern India. Muslims were subjected to barbaric acts of torture, perpetrated in front of a mosque, as they were callously stripped while their anguished cries filled the air.

In light of these events, the International Union of Muslim Scholars underscores the following key points:

Firstly, it warns against the perpetuation of these policies, as they will inevitably lead to an escalation of violence and the erosion of amicable relations with Muslims worldwide. Such actions do not serve India's best interests, nor do they secure its future. Instead, the prevailing violence and racism will have a detrimental impact on the nation's security, stability, prosperity, and social cohesion.

Secondly, it urgently implores the international community, particularly the United Nations, Arab and Islamic nations, to address these grave violations and racist practices. Immediate measures must be taken to halt all forms of racial discrimination and prejudice against Muslims and other marginalized citizens.

Thirdly, the Union calls upon Muslims worldwide, including politicians, scholars, intellectuals, and individuals, to employ every legitimate means at their disposal to bring an end to the atrocities being committed against their fellow brethren in India. Each person should utilize their respective positions and capabilities to the fullest extent. The Union emphasizes that this is not only a religious obligation but also a humanitarian imperative.

Allah Almighty states in the Quran: "The believers are but brothers." (Surah Al-Hujurat 49:10)

Furthermore, the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that the believers are like a single body, where the pain of one part is felt by the entire body, responding with vigilance and concern. This hadith highlights the importance of unity and solidarity among Muslims in times of adversity.
