Statement calling on the Islamic and Arab nations to support Gaza

The International Union of Muslim Scholars confirms its previous statements that it stands by our first cause and invites the nation, leaders, and people of its country to support their brothers in the glorified Gaza area with all the resources they have available.

Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, condemned the vicious, criminal, and brutal aggression launched by the vicious Zionist entity against the patient Palestinian population in Gaza, which led to the fall of martyrs and wounded, and calls for an immediate end to the aggression.

Earlier, the Gaza Strip's Ministry of Health reported that 11 Palestinians, including a 5-year-old girl, had died and 75 others had been injured.

His Eminence expressed his pain In a statement today about what is happening in Gaza and the inaction of the international community towards the Palestinian cause, as the Union follows the situation in Palestine generally as well as in Gaza.

His Eminence said, “It is unfortunate that this escalation against Gaza takes place in light of almost complete official Arab silence.” He added, “If most of the Arab leaders had not been silent about what happened regarding the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the Golan Heights, the occupying power would not have dared to commit these crimes.”

In addition, he called on the free people - especially the Arab and Islamic peoples - to stand with Gaza, considering their support is a legitimate duty on all Muslims, and to lift the aggression against them by all means.

Dr. Alqaradaghi  called on Muslim scholars around the world to awaken their people and move to defend this clear right.

Faced with these calamities and crimes against humanity, the Union affirms the following:

1- Strongly condemns the brutal attacks against Gaza and its environs. Pictures and reports show that these crimes are very serious, amounting to war crimes against humanity.

2- Demands the United Nations, Islamic and Arab countries to stop these crimes, which amount to war crimes against humanity.

3- The Union calls on the scholars of the nation, regardless of their institutions, to move seriously and effectively, mobilize energies and mobilize efforts to support the steadfast in Gaza and stop the aggression by all possible means.
