IUMS congratulates Muslim nation on the arrival of Ramadan, reminds of its duties and roles

With joy and bliss, the Muslim nation welcomes the month of Ramadan, to quench its thirst from its pure spring of worship, piety, elevation of souls and minds, purification of the spirit and body to purge from the ills and sins that have afflicted it along the year and derive strength to rise victoriously and make the month of Ramadan as it was in our glorious history, a month of true judgment between right from wrong and a month of triumphs {Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was sent down, as a guide to mankind, and clear signs for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong)} [Quran 2:185].

The International Union of Muslim Scholars that includes among its members the elite scholars of the nation, receives this month with anticipations of a new dawn for this great nation whose first beams are on the horizon despite all tribulations and challenges. The union calls Muslims all over the world at this blessed time to send prayers to their brothers and sisters going through trials wherever they are, especially in Egypt, Syria, and Myanmar and to make this noble month a month of empowerment and glorious victory for them over the unjust oppressors. And we plead to Allah to change our conditions to the best so that our nation will reclaim its position as a leader, pioneer and witness on the people as Allah desired for it, God wills it, for He is All-Hearing and is the Best Answerer.

On this blissful occasion, the IUMS extends the warmest greetings to the Muslim nation represented in its leaders, scholars, intellects, and nations with all their constituents and shades, praying to Allah to accept from us and them good deeds and grant us in this noble month a generous share of worship, obedience, mercy, forgiveness and to make us among the dignified winners and those spared Hellfire.

In application of God’s command to "remind (of your message) for reminding benefits the believers.”, we call the Muslim nation’s leaders and people to take initiatives in every path that takes them closer to Allah, raises the ranks of this nation and achieves the meanings of mercy and cooperation among Muslims. Some particular examples are:

1- Amplifying the amount of good deeds, acts of benevolence and worship, competition in helping the poor and needy, connecting with blood relatives, providing speedy aid to people suffering plight and displacement especially in Syria, and to make insistent prayers to Allah to fix the conditions of this nation – both its rulers and ruled – until all usurped and occupied territories are freed, on top of them the blessed Palestine and Al-Quds.

2- Adhering to the values of our great religion, especially the values of tolerance, rejection of violence, respecting the right to disagree, and keeping mosques aloof of political conflicts to preserve their sanctity and status, being a common sacred place and an element of unity and cooperation.

3- Keenness on repentance, purifying the souls, achieving reconciliation between governments and their people, and among all the constituents of nations so that our Muslim nation will emerge from this honorable month as one unified strong nation heading towards the building and creation of life and civilization.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the union calls all its members throughout Muslim countries to make close contact with the Muslim public and utilize the opportunity of this month to revive mosques with rings of knowledge and remembrance of Allah to contribute to improving the public’s knowledge of religious teachings, to organize convoys and Dawa activities, and to activate the role of the union in their countries.

We ask our Great Lord to aid Muslims to fast this month, pray its nightly prayers, observe its great holiness for Allah, to make it a month of benevolence, mercy, and empowerment for the oppressed, acceptance for the repenting, and Godspeed for the obedient to Him, and to return it to the Ummah with more dignity and empowerment for God’s religion on earth, and widespread mercy among the people.

<Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was sent down, as a guide to mankind, and clear signs for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong)>

And our last call is that all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds!
