Dr. Al-Qaradaghi condemns the statements of an extremist Hindu priest who called for the invasion of Mecca and the seizure of the Kaaba.

Dr. Ali Mohyi El Din Al-Qaradaghi, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, also condemned the statements of the extremist Hindu priest who called on Hindus to invade Mecca and seize the Kaaba, claiming that it is located on the site of a Hindu temple.

In response to a circulating video of the extremist Hindu priest, Dr. Al-Qaradaghi said on his official Twitter account: "A crazy person speaks and a sane person listens... It was said to Pharaoh from his people, and he said: 'I did not find anyone to respond to me?' These intellectual garbage and official madness, which reeks of filth, and this madness that calls for astonishment and laughter, should be met with official condemnation from Islamic governments and legal popular stances against these idiots."

The American Islamic Council of India commented on the video, saying "The extremist Hindu priest, Yasir Narsinghanand, attacks Muslims and calls for a war on Islam. He made takfir statements against Mecca."

Over the past two days, social media users circulated a video of the extremist Hindu priest (Yasir Narsinghanand Saraswati), known for his incitement against Islam and Muslims, calling on Hindus to invade Mecca and seize the Kaaba, claiming that it is located on the site of a Hindu temple.

According to Al Jazeera, Saraswati claimed that the Hindu temple "Makishwar Mahadev" is located where the Kaaba was built in Mecca, claiming that the Zamzam water that flows beneath it is "the river of the god Mahadev."

The extremist priest said in his speech, amid applause from the audience, "If we do not prepare for Makishwar Mahadev temple, no force on earth will be able to weaken Islam. You must get Makishwar Mahadev temple and invade Mecca where this cancer is spreading."

Saraswati broadcast messages of hatred and incitement against Islam and Muslims in his speech, calling on Hindus from all over the world to unite in fighting Muslims, claiming that if they do not do so, their temples will be destroyed and their women will be attacked.

His statements, which came during his participation in a Hindu conference in the city of Noida, north of India, last week, sparked widespread anger among Muslims on social media.

Professor and writer Muqtar Khan said, "This Hindu priest is inciting Hindus to attack Mecca to destroy Islam around the world. It is only a matter of time before Hindus turn to terrorism worldwide. This man has called for genocide in the past, and yet he is free to roam and incite."

In turn, activist Iftikhar Miskar tweeted, "This priest is openly and clearly declaring war against Mecca in Saudi Arabia."

Social media networks appear to witness an organized phenomenon of "spreading hatred" against Muslims, especially as Indian media, especially those close to the government, are accused of involvement in this type of hate speech, according to Al Jazeera.
