The Union President expresses gratitude for the congratulatory messages received for the successful conduct of elections during the General Assembly events

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone who extended congratulations and prayers on the occasion of the recent General Assembly elections in its sixth session, which resulted in his victory as the President of the Union, along with 6 deputies and a new General Secretary for the Union and the election of 32 members of the Board of Trustees.

In an official statement, Al-Qaradaghi said, "I am pleased, on my own behalf and on behalf of the venerable deputies, the General Secretary, and the members of the Board of Trustees, who have earned the trust of the esteemed General Assembly on 08-01-2024, to extend our highest gratitude and appreciation to all the presidents, officials, scholars, thinkers, and others who have conveyed their congratulations to us."

He added, "I pray to Almighty Allah to reward them generously on our behalf, to accept their prayers, and to guide us in serving the causes of our nation and contributing to the advancement of our community and scholars. Indeed, He is our sufficient guardian and an excellent helper."

The Sixth General Assembly

The International Union of Muslim Scholars held its sixth General Assembly in Doha, Qatar, from 24 to 28 Jumada Al-Akhirah 1445 AH, corresponding to January 6-10, 2024. The assembly, attended by nine hundred scholars from the five continents, was held under the theme: "Establishing our religion, uplifting our nation, and supporting our faith."
