Eminence Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi calls the governments of Arab and Islamic countries to gather around Turkey and support it diplomatically and economically and in the media.

His eminence denounced the West's attitude of the failed coup, saying:
To those who didn’t talk about human burning in Burma, and the dispersion in Syria, and his arrest in Egypt, and then talk about the rights of the coup in Turkey, where is the ruddy shame?!
He added: Those who planned and financed and supported the coups, will they support their allies?!
He also praised the position of the pro-eminence legitimacy of the Turkish opposition, saying:

He pointed to the challenges awaiting the Turkish people after this momentous event:
