The president of the Islamic Union in Denmark: Islam is no longer a "guest" in Europe 

 


The president of the Islamic Union in Denmark Samir Rifai said that the Union includes 25 different association, and he is a member in the IUMS, to get an international doctrinal reference. Also Rifai pointed out that the Scandinavian countries are active in legitimate things but Islam is no longer a "guest" in Europe and became a real home and important in people’s life. 

 

 

He stressed that the Union balance between identity and citizenship, and there is a permanent quest for recognition of Islam the official religion in Denmark. 
He sees that the main problems facing the Union are buying and selling things and halal slaughter and legitimate contracts. According to unofficial statistics, there are 230 thousand Muslims in Denmark.
