IUMS condemns explosion in Egypt, holds coup authorities responsible for safety of Egyptians
Egyptians woke up on Thursday September 5th to news of an explosion targeting the convoy of the Minister of Interior in the coup-formulated government General Mohamed Ibrahim, while conflicting reports were cited from different security sources regarding the causes of the incident.
The International Union of Muslim Scholars condemns the explosion, as well as all forms of violence, warns the use of weapons by any side, and asserts that:
1-The union holds the coup government entirely responsible for the incidents in Egypt, including the explosions and violence that have become habitual for Egyptians since the unjust coup that toppled the legitimate authority, and spread terror, murder, and destruction among Egyptians.
2-The union calls all sincere, honorable Egyptians to stand unified for the restoration of legitimate authorities, security and stability.
3-The union warns the outcome of directing accusations immediately at the coup opposers as they called for the prevention of violence since the bloody coup and till the moment.
4-The union views that the only solution to the course of events afflicting Egypt since the criminal assault on legitimacy, and the will and aspirations of the people is through a unified will and word, and honest dialogue among Egyptians for the sake of rectifying the results of the military coup.
