IUMS mourns the departure of esteemed scholar Ibrahim Zayd Al-Kilani
With hearts contented with God’s destiny, we received the news of the departure of our honored brother, scholar, intellectual, and man of law Dr. Ibrahim Zayd Al-Kilani due to an incurable disease.
The departed Al-Kilani had served as dean of the Faculty of Shariah Law at the Jordanian University, as member of the Jordanian parliament, and minister of endowment in 1990. He was a member of the Islamic Action Front, head of its council of fiqh scholars, head of the Quran association and author of many specialized books, researches and Islamic studies.
The Muslim nation lost one of its scholars who was known at the pulpits of Islamic call, of parliaments and politics. We pray to Allah Almighty to forgive him, grant him mercy, reward him with the best reward, to grant him a dignified, spacious abode, accept him in Paradise, shower him with his content and mercy, and resurrect him with those whom He blessed of prophets, truthful believers, martyrs and good men, and to inspire his family, colleagues, students, and those who loved him patience and solace, for He is the best Protector and best Answerer to our prayers.
And to Allah we belong, and to Him is our return.
