IUMS: UAE deal to normalize ties with Israel is 'high treason'

The International Union of Muslim Scholars condemned the agreement to normalize relations between the UAE and Israel, which was mediated by the United States, describing it as high treason, and called on the Islamic nation to preserve the cause of Palestine.

The International Union of Muslim Scholars condemned the agreement to normalize relations between the UAE and Israel, which was mediated by the United States, and described it as high treason.

The union said in a statement today, Friday, that the agreement between the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed, is a "high treason and a major reward for the crimes of the Zionist occupiers in Holy Jerusalem and against the Palestinians."

He added that the agreement, which included the suspension of Israel annexing parts of the West Bank, is an implicit recognition of Israel's right to extend its sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.

The Union of Muslim Scholars appealed to the Islamic nation to have a decisive stance by rejecting what it considered concessions, and by preserving the work of the first Muslim cause and the rights of the Palestinians through a strategic plan.

He also called on the Palestinians to unite their efforts to preserve their cause, and called on all scholars, thinkers and politicians to do their duty towards the Palestinian cause.

The International Union of Muslim Scholars stressed that the Ummah does not weaken its resolve with such betrayals, according to the statement.
